Seattle Dogworks proudly presents a staff of highly qualified, certified trainers and instructors. Using methods based in the science of Animal Learning Theory, we adhere to the guidelines set forth for humane training by the American Humane Association (AHA) and techniques approved by the SPCA, ASPCA, RSPCA, HSUS, and the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB).  Our staff stays current in cutting-edge theory and provides a balanced approach to training the companion dog. Cristine Dahl, Founder/Owner. Cristine Dahl, CTC,  is the owner and founder of the Seattle Dogworks Training & Education Studio on Capitol Hill (founded in 2003) and the author of the acclaimed book, Good Dog 101 (foreword by Jean Donaldson). She holds a CTC from the San Francisco SPCA Academy as a distinguished graduate, has worked professionally with dogs for over 15 years, and has a BS in Biological Science with a focus on the mammalian mind and brain. Cristine is the in-house behavior writer for Seattle Dog Magazine, sits as drugstore.com's pet expert, is an approved Dream Job Mentor for VocationVacations, and has been featured in numerous publications including Sunset Magazine and Seattle Woman Magazine (see our news section for more) for her work in the field.  Cristine has been recognized by the American Medical Association (AMA) for her work helping doctors better understand the circumstances affecting dog bites to children and she is an active participant in animal welfare efforts in the state of Washington. She is a member of both the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the Animal Behavior Society (ABS) and regularly serves as a canine behavior expert for dog-related court cases in Western Washington. In 2006, Cristine founded Washington’s only licensed private/vocational school (code RCW 28C.10) specializing in the study of canine behavior, the Seattle School of Canine Studies.  A Seattle native, she lives in Seattle’s Mt. Baker neighborhood with her husband, two children, and dogs.



Faith Hynoski CCS, CPDT-KA Private Training & Behavior, Public Classes. Faith Hynoski holds a Certificate in Canine Studies from the Seattle School of Canine Studies. While she has always had a love for all animals, especially dogs, her passion for dog training really came about after adopting her two rescue dogs; Zack & Zoe, both of whom hold AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) titles, with Zoe earning therapy titles with the Delta Society and Connecting Canines. As a registered pet partner, Faith & Zoe have recently begun visiting hospitals, schools and prisons within Washington. Faith is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the Association of Animal Behavior Professionals (AABP). In her spare time she volunteers with the Seattle Humane Society. She is the co-founder of the organization, Families Against Breed Bans (FABB), has completed the “Coaching People to Train Their Dogs - Course I (certificate) at Legacy Canine Training & Behavior Center, and is an AKC CGC approved evaluator.  A current member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) in good standing, Faith is currently studying part-time with the Companion Animal Sciences Institute.
